CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011 ROADMAP
10th edition of world cup of cricket was jointly organised by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh between 19 February to 2 April 2011. India won its second time by beating Sri Lanka in the final on 2nd April 20011 at Mumbai in India.
This was round Robbin and knockout tournament in which 14 team participated. 14 team divided into two group.

Fourth group match of India was played on 9 March 2011 at Delhi in India against Netherlands. India beat Netherlands by five wickets.

India beat four time world champion Australia in second qaurter final on 24 March 2011 at ahamadabad in India by five wickets.
Semifinal
Second high voltage semifinal of 2011 WC was played between arch rival India and Pakistan on 30 March 2011 at Mohali in India.
India beat Pakistan in this high voltage match by 29 runs.
THE FINAL
FINAL OF 2011 CRICKET WC WAS PLAYED BETWEEN INDIA AND SRI LANKA ON 2ND APRIL 2011 AT WANKHEDE STADIUM MUMBAI IN INDIA.
India became champion of 2011 world cup after 28 years by beating Sri Lanka by six wickets with 10 balls remaining under Mahendra Singh dhoni’s captaincy.
Captain dhoni played match winning innings in this match.
